Fiat, together with their in-house tuner, Abarth, announced today that they will unveil the Punto SuperSport limited edition model next month in Frankfurt. Fiat's Abarth Punto SuperSport is powered by the Italian car maker's 1.4 Multiair engine, which has been tuned to output 180 HP (132 kW) at 5,750 rpm and 270 Nm of torque at 2,500 rpm. with a top speed of 216 km/h, the Fiat Punto SuperSport requires only 7.5 seconds to reach the 100 km/h (62 mph) mark from a standing start.

Abarth chose a heritage inspired styling theme for the Punto SuperSport, which features a Grigio Campovolo two-tone livery with a matte black bonnet and roof. The Punto SuperSport will comes with matt black side mirror covers, 18" alloy

wheels, red brake calipers, and various badges.

Abarth fitted the Punto SuperSport with suspension parts from the Esseesse Koni kit, perforated and self-ventilated front brake discs, 4-piston calipers, Koni shock absorbers with FSD (Frequency Selective Dumping) valves for the rear axle and lowered springs. The Punto SuperSport also received the same exhaust system as the Abarth Esseesse version of the model.

At the interior, the Abarth Punto SuperSport is equipped with new seats, and Blue&MeTM MAP satellite navigation unit featuring Magneti Marelli telemetrics. Abarth did not announce the price of the Punto SuperSport, nor the date when it will go on sale.
