Audi Q1 Teased

 »  »  »

Audi released at the end of last week the first teaser image of the Q1, along with a few initial details about the new crossover. The Audi Q1 is going to enter production in 2016 at the carmaker's Ingolstadt plant. The Audi Q1 is based on the modular transverse engine concept and it is going to be the entry level model of the Q family. So far, these are the only details Audi officially released about the Q1. However, various sources are reporting that the Q1 is going to measure around 3.8 meters in length and that it is going to have a five-door configuration. Basically, the Audi Q1 is going to be an "all-terrain" version of the Volkswagen Polo. Audi will probably choose to sell the Q1 with its smallest engines.

This means a 1.4-liter TFSI, a 1.4-liter TDI and possibly a hybrid powertrain. However, Audi might come with new engines by 2016.

We'll have more information on the Audi Q1 as soon as it its available.
