Audi has released today a Audi Q5 Hybrid video and has revealed the initial details of the new model. The Audi Q5 Hybrid will be powered by a 2.0-liter TFSI petrol engine and an electric motor with a total output of 241 hp and 480 Nm (354 lb-ft) of torque. The combustion engine of the Audi Q5 Hybrid is the 2.0-liter TFSI petrol developing 208 hp while the electric motor outputs 44 hp.
The official performance figures of the Audi Q5 Hybrid say it requires 7.1 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h and that it has a 138 mph (222 km/h) top speed.
The Audi Q5 Hybrid will be able to run on electricity only, however, the range is extremely low - just 3 km.
As far as its design goes, the Audi Q5 Hybrid features new rims with low resistance tires, and various interior modifications. The center console and the instrument cluster of the Audi Q5 Hybrid has been modified to make room for the car's hybrid instruments. Apparently, the Audi Q5 Hybrid also has a lower volume luggage compartment, the space being needed for the hybrid powertrain.
The Audi Q5 Hybrid price is not known at the moment. the manufacturer has announced that the world premiere of the Audi Q5 Hybrid will take place at the Los Angeles auto show, at which time we'll
also have the complete details of the new model.
