Audi revealed today the facelifted Q5 (2013), which is going to arrive in dealerships this summer. The new Audi Q5 (2013) comes with a new exterior design, a re-styled interior, updated engines and an improved chassis. In terms of exterior design, the 2013 Audi Q5 shows a slightly modified front bumper, a new front grille and re-designed headlights featuring a more fortunate choice in LED DRLs styling. The rear of the new Q5 (2013) remains basically unchanged. The only differences we were able to stop include the new exhaust tips and the new LED design inside the taillights. Optionally, Audi is offering xenon plus headlights, adaptive lights with dynamic cornering lights and static turning lights. The new Q5 (2013) has a drag coefficient of Cd 0.33 and a total weight of 1,755 kg (3,869.11 lb).

For the interior of the 2013 Q5, Audi is using higher quality materials. There seem to be a few design changes in regards to the center console too. The MMI interface in the case of the 2013 Q5 has four buttons, with an additional skip function. You'll be able to order your new Audi Q5 (2013) with a convenience key, three-zone automatic air conditioning system and climate-controlled comfort seats with a ventilation function. When the rear seats are up, the new Q5 (2013) has a 540-liter (19.07 cubic feet) luggage capacity. This can be increased to 1,560 liters (55.09 cubic feet) by folding down the rear bench.

2.0 TDI - 105 kW (143 hp) and 320 Nm (236.02 lb-ft) - 5.3 liters of diesel per 100 km (44.38 US mpg), 139 g/km CO2 (223.70 g/mile), 75 liter (19.81 US gallon) fuel tank, 1,400 km (870 miles) range;
2.0 TDI - 130 kW (177 hp) and 380 Nm (280.27 lb-ft) of torque - 6.0 liters per 100 km (39.20 US mpg);
3.0 TDI (V6) - 180 kW (245 hp) and 580 Nm (427.79 lb-ft) of torque - 100 km/h (62.14 mph) in 6.5 seconds, top speed 225 km/h (139.81 mph), 6.4 liters of fuel per 100 km (36.75 US mpg) combined;
2.0 TFSI - 165 kW (225 hp) and 350 Nm (258.15 lb-ft) of torque - 7.6 liters per 100 km (30.95 US mpg);
3.0 TFSI (V6) - 200 kW (272 hp) and 400 Nm (295.02 lb-ft) of torque - 100 km/h (62.14 mph) in 5.9 seconds, top speed 234 km/h (145.40 mph), 8.5 liters per 100 km (27.67 US mpg) combined.

Transmissions:

- six-speed manual: standard on four-cylinder engines
- eight-speed tiptronic: standard on 3.0 TFSI, optional on 2.0 TFSI
- seven-speed S tronic: standard on 3.0 TDI, optional on 2.0 TDI (130 kW / 177 hp).

The Audi Q5 (2013) facelift will be available with a choice between 17- and 18-inch alloys, and it will come equipped with hold assist and downhill assist, and ESC. If you're wondering about it off-road abilities, we have to mention that the 2013 Audi Q5 has a 25-degree approach and departure angle, a 17-degree ramp angle, a 31-degree climbing angle, and 20 centimeters (7.87 inches) of ground clearance.

For improved safety, Audi is offering all its assistance systems on the new Q5 (2013). These include the radar-based cruise control system, active lane assist and side assist monitors. For entertainment purposes, Audi is offering the Bang & Olufsen sound system, the MMI that includes a large hard drive, a 7-inch color monitor, 3D graphics and a DVD player. For connectivity, the 2013 Audi Q5 offers Bluetooth and a WLAN hotspot.

The 2013 Audi Q5 hybrid quattro is powered by the 2.0 TFSI engine (155 kW / 211 hp and 350 Nm / 258.15 lb-ft of torque), which works together with an electric motor (40 kW / 54 hp and 210 Nm / 154.89 lb-ft). Audi rates the new Q5 hybrid (2013) with a zero to 100 km/h (62.14 mph) acceleration time of 7.1 seconds and a top speed of 225 km/h (139.81 mph). Its fuel consumption is rated at 6.9 liters per 100 km (34.09 US mpg).
