Audi revealed at the 2013 Detroit auto show a petrol version of the SQ5, which is already available in Europe as a TDI diesel. The new Audi SQ5 3.0 TFSI is powered by a V6 engine that puts out 260 kW (354 hp) between 6,000 rpm and 6,500 rpm and 470 Nm (346.65 lb-ft) between 4,000 rpm and 4,500 rpm. With this engine, the Audi SQ5 TFSI is able to accelerate from zero to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 5.3 seconds. The small crossover is able to reach a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph). Audi rates the fuel economy of the new TFSI SQ5 at 8.5 liters of fuel per 100 km in the NEDC (21 US mpg) with a CO2 emissions level of 199 g/km (320.26 g/m) in the NEDC. The Audi SQ5 3.0 TFSI is equipped with 8-speed tiptronic transmission and the carmaker's acclaimed quattro permanent all-wheel drive with torque vectoring.

In comparison to the standard Q5, the SQ5 TFSI sits 30 millimeters (1.18 in) closer to the ground. It comes with stiffer springs and shock absorbers, 20-inch alloys (optional 21-inch wheels), electromechanical steering and branded brake calipers. For the SQ5 3.0 TFSI, Audi is offering an optional dynamic steering system with variable ratio.

The distinctive styling features of the Audi SQ5 TFSI include the platinum gray radiator grille, the re-styled bumpers, the roof spoiler, the V6 T badges on its front fenders, the gloss package and the aluminum look exterior mirrors.



At the interior, the SQ5 TFSI features power-adjustable sport seats, a Pearl Nappa leather and Alcantara upholstery, and various styling elements made from aluminum, carbon and wood. The SQ5 TFSI offers 1,560 liters (59.33 cu ft) of luggage space.

Audi is going to announce the price and availability of the SQ5 3.0 TFSI at a later date.
