BMW Motorsport returned to the DTM in 2012 after almost 20 years and managed to get a drivers' title with Bruno Spengler and a top spot in the team standings with BMW Team Schnitzer. To mark this success, the Bavarian carmaker launches today the BMW M3 DTM Champion Edition. BMW will sell the M3 DTM Champion Edition in Frozen Black metallic only. The new M3 DTM Champion comes with carbon flaps and gurney, various dark chrome elements, matt black wheels and parts of the race car's livery. The new M3 DTM also features a set of "go faster" stripes on the CFRP roof and boot lid. There are also various logos. At the interior, BMW's M3 DTM Champion Edition comes with a carbon fiber trim, special door sills inspired by Spengler’s helmet, an Alcantara steering wheel, an embroidered handbrake and black Novillo leather upholstery.

The BMW M3 DTM Champion Edition is not just about looks. This special model comes with the Competition package, M Drive, M DCT Drivelogic and the M Driver's Package. Its equipment list also includes a navigation system, heated seats and the Park Distance Control system.

The BMW M3 DTM Champion Edition's price starts at €99,000.00 EUR including VAT, and the German carmaker says it will build only 54 of them. The new model is going on sale in February 2013. Each of the owners will get the chance of attending the BMW M Fascination Nordschleife driver training course with Bruno Spengler.
