Man Buys Faulty BMW M3. Discovers Clarkson Trashed It On Top Gear

 »  »  »

Rob Willis from Kent in the UK recently bought a "new" BMW M3 from a local dealership for 50,000 GBP. As soon as he acquired it he noticed various mechanical problems, which included the brakes and the steering. These are serious issues. He took the Bimmer back to the dealership to sort it out. Apparently, the dealership rang BMW in Germany as they couldn't solve the M3's problems. Unfortunately, Willis had to take his BMW M3 back, but the problems became even worse. Four weeks after his purchase he was watching an episode of Top Gear, only to discover that his car was used by Jeremy Clarkson in one of his tests. And we all know how Jezza likes to test his cars.... Rob's wife noticed that the M3 Bimmer used by Clarkson for going sideways had the same license plate as his car.

The next day Rob called the dealership he bought the M3 from and gave them back the keys, since the car was unsafe to drive. Instead of fixing it, the dealership replaced it with a BMW 330d. Now that's hardly a replacement for a BMW M3.

UPDATE: Various sources are reporting that after receiving several replacements, including a 320d and a Mini, Rob Willis finally got a BMW M3 in perfect working order.
