A British magazine is offering today a preview of the future 2014 BMW M3. According to our sources, this is an official image of the new BMW M3 (2014) and not an artist’s rendering. So far however, BMW did not say anything about its authenticity. BMW is going to premiere the 2014 M3 at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show in March. They are expected to put it on sale sometimes this summer. Apparently, the new M3 (2014) will be powered by a straight six-cylinder engine that puts out 444 hp. Judging from this image, the 2014 M3 will feature a carbon fiber roof, similar side mirrors as the current generation E92 and a modified hood with a power dome. The front bumper of the new 2014 M3 follows the same design guidelines as the one of the 1 Series M high-performance coupe.
The 2014 BMW M3 is going to be available 6-speed manual transmission or a dual-clutch (M-DCT) automatic gearbox. It's going to have a revised mechanical differential, ceramic brakes, and aluminum body parts. The total weight of the car is expected to be under the 1,500 kg mark. The 2014 BMW M3's price is not known yet.
