Bentley revealed today the new convertible version of the Continental GT Speed. Just as the coupe, the Bentley Continental GT Speed Convertible is powered by a 6.0-litre W12 twin-turbocharged engine that's good for 625 PS (616 bhp) and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque. Even though it weighs a massive 2495 kg / 5500 lb, the Continental GT Speed convertible is able to accelerate from nought to 60 mph in 4.1 seconds (0-100 km/h in 4.4 seconds). It can reach a top speed of 202 mph (325 km/h). The full specifications of the new GT Speed Convertible are available lower down this page. Bentley's convertible GT Speed comes equipped with an energy recuperation system, a permanent all-wheel drive system and a close-ratio, 8-speed transmission that's able to reduce the car's fuel consumption and CO2 emissions by up to 15%.

The Bentley Continental GT Speed Convertible comes equipped with 21-inch alloys, rifled exhaust pipes, and a handcrafted cabin with the Mulliner Driving Specification as standard. Bentley builds the Convertible GT Speed on a stiffer chassis with an aluminum double-wishbone front suspension and a trapezoidal multi-link rear one. The car sits 10 mm closer to the ground than the regular GT Speed convertible. The ESC has been recalibrated to work with the new engine output.

For the interior of the GT Speed Convertible, Bentley is offering diamond-quilted leather, various wood and carbon trim parts, and a new multimedia system with Flat panel Balanced Mode Radiator (BMR) speakers.

The Bentley Continental GT Speed Convertible's price has not been disclosed yet.
