Bentley revealed today the new Continental GTC V8, ahead of its global debut, which will take place this week in Geneva. Powered by the same 4.0-litre twin turbocharged V8 engine as the Bentley Continental GT V8, the GTC develops 500 bhp (507 PS / 373 kW) at 6000 rpm and 660 Nm (487 lb ft) of torque from 1,700 rpm to 5,000 rpm. Even though the GTC V8 has the same specifications as the GT V8, it's almost 200 kg heavier. Bentley's official specs of the GTC V8 say it weighs 2470 kg. This has a rather visible impact on its performance. Officially, the Conti GTC V8 is rated with a top speed of 187 mph (301 km/h) and a 0-60 mph acceleration time of 4.7 seconds (0-100 km/h in 5.0 seconds).
The extra weight also has a negative impact on its efficiency. The combined fuel consumption of the GTC V8 is 25.9 mpg / 10.9 l/100km and its CO2 emissions are 254 g/km.
The Bentley Continental GTC V8 comes equipped with 20-inch (optional 21-inch) alloys, and all-wheel drive system with a Torsen differential (40:60 power bias towards the rear).
