According to the Italian press, VW does not want to stop the horsepower race it started with the Veyron. Apparently, VW is working on the Bugatti Veyron SuperSport - an even more extreme ride than the current version. A limited edition obviously, the Bugatti Veyron SuperSport will be powered by the same base engine, with a power output raised to 1,200 hp. This is 200 hp more than the current version of the hypercar.

The Bugatti Veyron SuperSport will also be a 'Superleggera' version, weighing 300 kg less than the 1.5 mil EUR model currently available on the market.

With these new figures, the Bugatti Veyron SuperSport is expected to have a top speed of

425 km/h and a 0 to 100 km/h acceleration time of only 2.2 seconds.

The Bugatti Veyron SuperSport price will definitely be higher than 1.5 mil Euros and the car will be built in only 30 units. This means that somewhere in the world, there will be 30 cars that could potentially hit 425 km/h on public roads.

The Bugatti Veyron SuperSport is expected to be unveiled at the Paris Auto Show.
