Buick announced today the LaCrosse eAssist price list, as the new model goes on sale across the USA. Buick advertises the 2012 LaCrosse eAssist as offering an up to 25 percent better highway fuel economy than the current model. The 2012 LaCrosse eAssist is powered by a 3.6-liter V6 engine equipped with variable valve timing, direct fuel injection and E85 capabilities. The front-wheel-drive Buick LaCrosse eAssist develops 303 hp (226 kW) and 264 lb.-ft. of torque (358 Nm). This is 23 horsepower more than the current version. Buick will also sell and all-wheel-drive version of the LaCrosse eAssist, but it hasn't yet measured its performance.

Buick says that the LaCrosse eAssist is able to offer a fuel consumption of up to 37 mpg on the

highway. The new model comes equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels, Bluetooth and USB capabilities, and an 8-inch, high-resolution, full-color touch screen.

The Buick LaCrosse eAssist price list starts at 29,960 USD, which does not include the destination charge of 860 USD.
