Christini All Wheel Drive Motorcycle

Christini Australia revealed today a new range of all-wheel-drive motorcycles that includes the AWD 250, the 300 and the 450. Christini is going to premiere the new AWD bikes at the Australian Motorcycle Expo Melbourne next week. Christini' AWD bikes have a similar all-wheel-drive as four-wheel vehicles. A patented system of chains and shafts sends the power from the engine to the motorcycle's wheels. The system that powers the bike front wheel works at about 80% of the capacity of the one driving the rear wheel. The rear wheel of the bike actually runs faster than the front one, which has one-way clutches in its hub making it freewheel. Christini says that their new AWD system for motorcycles makes them corner faster and gives them more stability. When the bike's rear wheel loses traction, the front one takes over until traction is re-established.

Currently, Christini is still testing the new AWD motorcycle, which will probably go on sale in the near future. ITs price has not been disclosed yet.
