Back in May the German press started a rumor that the Audi is going to premiere and electric version of the R8 at this year's IAA show in Frankfurt. Today the rumor is back and the company has also launched a micro teaser site for the new model. The site says the Electric Audi R8 will be revealed on September 15 which is the preview day of the Frankfurt Auto Show.
Unfortunately, the Electric Audi R8 website doesn't disclose any information on the new model, except the teaser sketch of an R8.
