German sources are reporting that Audi will present at the 2009 IAA in Frankfurt the Audi R8 Spyder and an electric version of the Audi R8. Apart from the Audi R8 Spyder and the electric R8, Audi will also bring at this year's event the new A8 and the A5 Sportback.
The Audi R8 Spyder will be offered with either the 4.2-liter V8 engine, which develops 420 hp, or the new 5.2-liter V10 powerplant that outputs 525 hp.
As far as the electric Audi R8 rumor goes, details are scarce. It will be a concept car, obviously, but it's clear whether it will be a pure electric Audi R8, or a hybrid.
