Espera Sbarro REACT EV Announced

Espera Sbarro announced today that they're going to premiere a new concept at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, called the REACT EV. The Espera Sbarro REACT EV is actually a hybrid vehicle, and not an electric one as the EV acronym might suggest. EV stands for Ecologic Vehicle. The REACT EV was developed by Espera Sbarro's students in just 13 weeks. They envisioned a vehicle which would run in the Monte Carlo New Energy Rally. Judging from the design, we suppose the REACT EV is a mid-engine all-wheel-drive sports vehicle with two seats. However, Espera Sbarro did not give any details regarding this matter. However, they do say that the Espera Sbarro REACT EV is powered by a V6 engine developed by PSA, which is good for 210 hp.

The REACT EV also has two DC Brushless electric motors, one for each wheel. Each one of them has an output of 100 kW and 750 Nm of torque. With this powertrain under its hood, the Espera Sbarro REACT EV could be quite a serious "weapon" on the race track.

We'll have more details and images of the REACT EV next week.
