In the latest years Gumpert, the German supercar manufacturer, went through a tough time. Apparently, their troubles are over. At the 2013 Geneva Motor Show they announced they currently have a new investor for the following few years. At the same time, Gumpert is looking to expand its product range, but the carmaker did not disclose any further details regarding this matter. Gumpert is currently expanding their distribution and dealer networks. They will soon offer sister models of the Apollo too. These new versions of the Apollo are going to have their world premiere soon at an undisclosed major trade fair. Meanwhile, Gumpert presented two Apollo S units at the 2013 Geneva auto show.

The Gumpert Apollo S develops 750 hp/551 kW and it has a power per liter ratio of 180 hp per liter. Its aerodynamics are so well optimized and the Apollo S creates so much downforce that it could, theoretically, drive upside down.
