The German company announced the Gumpert Apollo Sport Nurburgring record which makes it the model the fastest production car around the "Green Hell". The Gumpert Apollo Sport is powered by a bi-turbo 4.2 liter V8 engine from Audi that scream 700 hp. with this powerplant under its hood, the car can get from 0 to 200 km/h in 8.9 seconds and can accelerate until it reaches 360 km/h.
The Gumpert Apollo Sport Nurburgring record is 7:11.57 which is more than three seconds faster than the previous best lap time set by the Donkervoort D8 RS06 at 7:14.89. Some may argue that the Gumpert Apollo Sport is not the fastest production car around the 'Ring because the Radical SR8 managed an under 7 minute time. However, this record is taken into account due to yet unknown reasons.
