The first video showing the Gumpert Apollo Sport establishing a new Nurburgring lap record has surfaced today. The Gumpert Apollo Sport was driven to the 7:11.57 lap time by driver Florian Gruber and the clip's description says the car that was used was rod legal. Of course this implies that it used road legal tires. The Gumpert Apollo Sport is capable of such performance thanks to 700 hp at a weight of only 1200 kg. The supercar is able to get from 0 to 62 mph in just 3 seconds.
