Just as we announced earlier today, the Prancing Horse revealed has just revealed the new 2015 Ferrari California T. Just as we predicted, the Ferrari California T is going to have its global premiere next month at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. The Ferrari California T is powered by a 3,855 cc turbocharged (twin-scroll turbines) V8 engine with direct injection that develops 412 kW (560 hp) at 7,500 rpm and 755 Nm (77 kgm) of torque at 4,750 rpm. Ferrari's 2015 California T is able to accelerate from zero to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 3.6 seconds and to reach a top speed of 316 km/h. The California T measures 4,570 mm in length, 1,910 mm in width, and 1,322 mm in height. It has a dry weight of 1,625 kg and a 47% front / 53% rear weight distribution.

According to Ferrari, the California T (2015) has a fuel economy of 10.5 l/100 km and a 250 g/km CO2 emissions level. Ferrari claims that this newly developed turbocharged engine of the California T is the first one of its kind to have virtually zero turbo lag. Its torque increases constantly thanks to Variable Boost Management. Even though the 2015 California T has 70 hp and 49% more torque than its predecessor, it promises 15% lower fuel consumption, as well as a 20% reduction in CO2 emissions.

We'll get a bit technical and we'll tell you that the 2015 Ferrari California T comes with a flat-plane crankshaft, three-piece cast exhaust manifold and turbo housing, a new steering box for better response, a new suspension setup, new springs, latest-generation Magnaride dampers (which respond 50 per cent faster), and body motion accelerometers. Ferrari equips the California T with an F1-Trac traction control system, CCM3 carbon-ceramic brakes, an ESP 8.0 premium, and a high performance ABS. Ferrari says that the 2015 California T is able to stop from 100 km/h to zero in 34 meters.

Ferrari's California T (2015) is equipped with a retractable hard top which can be opened or closed in 14 seconds. Design-wise, in comparison to its predecessor, the new Ferrari California T (2015) comes with new headlights, a modified front bumper, and a new hood with two vents that help cool the engine bay and feed air to the turbos. The front fenders, the doors and the side skirts of the California T have also been re-styled. The rear of the California T shows slightly modified fenders, a new bumper with an integrated diffuser and new exhaust pipes. The tailpipes of the 2015 California T are now positioned horizontally, rather than vertically like in the previous model.

For the interior of the California T, Ferrari is offering a Frau semi-aniline leather trim, a steering wheel with integrated controls and what Ferrari calls the Turbo Performance Engineer (TPE). The TPE is basically a touch-screen that allows you to scroll through various engine parameters at any given time. The California T is also equipped with a new infotainment system that comes with high-resolution 6.5” touchscreen.

The Ferrari California T's price and availability are going to be announced at a later date.
