After yesterday's announcement from Lamborghini that they will start developing hybrid technology, today a second supercar manufacturer is rumored to go in this direction. Apparently, in a recent interview, Ferrari CEO Amedeo Felisa Ferrari hinted towards the fact that a Ferrari hybrid concept is in the works. Felisa said that in order for the company to comply with the 2014 European emissions standards, Ferrari has to develop new technologies, apart from its current engine line-up.
Apart from the Ferrari hybrid concept, the company is also exploring turbocharging and bio-fuel (E85). Felisa said the ECU of the new California is already capable of working with E85.
In the interview, the big boss also said the Ferrari hybrid concept will have its debut soon, at one of the upcoming North American shows.
