This video presents scenes from the first Monaco Grand Prix that took place in 1929. The roads of Monaco at that time were mostly sand and stones, but managed to win the first ever race at the wheel of a Bugatti T35B.
The racing history of Monaco begins in 1929 when Anthony Noghes founded Automobile Club de Monaco. He managed to get the support of Prince Louis II and on April 14, 1929, 16 drivers were on the starting grid of the first race on the city track.
