| The first UK built Toyota is the Toyota Carina E 1.6 GLi in the photo. This Toyota Carina E 1.6 GLi was produced at the Toyota Motor Manufacturing (UK) plant at Burnaston, Derbyshire.
The first UK built Toyota drove off the Burnaston production line on the 16th December 1992 and 15 years and over 2.5 million vehicles later it was donated to the Heritage Motor Center, Gaydon, Warwickshire. The first UK built Toyota will be part of a new exhibition called Making British Cars.
