Ford announced today that the Focus and the Ford C-MAX will be equipped with adjustable pedals. This new feature will offer a safer and more comfortable experience behind the wheel. The adjustable pedals that will be fitted to the Focus and the Ford C-MAX will be able to go 55 mm closer to the seat.
Adjustable pedals are also an extra convenience in cases where a vehicle is driven regularly by two or more people. Different sized drivers can be accommodated without having to make multiple changes to the seating position and mirrors.
Thomas Svensson, Ford brake system development engineer, said: 'For some customers finding a seating position which is a comfortable distance
from both pedals and steering wheel is difficult. With adjustable pedals, drivers can tailor their position precisely and easily using the convenient seat-mounted switch.'
The adjustable pedals price is 100 pounds and will be available on the Focus and the Ford C-MAX as an option.
