Polyphony Digital has released the first images of the GranTurismo 5 Red Bull X1 virtual race car. As you have probably already heard, the GranTurismo 5 video game has been delayed yet again, but maybe the Red Bull X1 prototype will give you something to think about until the game hits the stores. The GranTurismo 5 Red Bull X1 has been developed in collaboration with the well known energy drinks manufacturer and it looks like it's based on the Caparo T1. Here are some specs. The GranTurismo 5 Red Bull X1 develops 1482 hp and 527 lb-ft of torque and is fitted with a CVT transmission. The power goers to the rear wheels.
The GranTurismo 5 Red Bull X1 will be able to hit a top speed of 249 mph (400 km/h).
The performance of the GranTurismo 5 Red Bull X1 is also a result of it's low weight - just 545 kg.
