Hertz Global Holdings Inc., the world's largest car rental company, has announced that they have sued an analyst for bankruptcy allegations. Apparently, Audit Integrity Inc. said that Hertz will "most likely to declare bankruptcy" within a year. AS a result, Hertz has filed a lawsuit against the company and its CEO, Jack Zwingli, accusing them of defamation.
Mark Frissora, the boss at Hertz, said in a statement that the lawsuit is an appropriate action against the audit company which published false information about his company. He considers that the action of Audit Integrity are harmful for his company.
The filed lawsuit, Hertz says Audit Integrity has no proof that the financial statements of the company are fraudulent.
Hertz is seeking to receive monetary damages and a retraction.
