Infiniti G37 Coupe Rally Safety Car

Infiniti unveiled today this G37 Coupe safety car which will be used this year during the 2011 Rallies Championship of Spain. This Infiniti G37 Coupe, which is basically a rally car, is based on the S version of the model and will have the role of Work Car Zero. Infiniti used it for the first time on April 1 in the Rally of Villajoyosa. The G37 Coupe rally safety car is powered by an all-aluminum 6-cylinder engine with a power output of 320 hp at 7,000 rpm and 360 Nm of torque at 5,200 rpm. Infiniti equipped the G37 Coupe safety car with a six-speed manual transmission and a standard limited slip differential.

The list of modification done on this G37 Coupe to prepare it for rally conditions is quite

extensive. Infiniti says the car has few modifications, but let's see for ourselves. The Infiniti G37 Coupe Car Zero has a VIMESA roll bar, Bilstein dampers, GALFER brake pads and liquid and a full roll cage. At the interior, the Infiniti G37 Coupe rally safety car features two Sparco sport bucket seats complete with racing seatbelts, a fire extinguishing system, new communications equipment and GPS. The car also features outdoor lights and a siren. Infiniti says the G37 rally car will "roll" on high performance Pilot SuperSport tires.



The G37 rally racer / safety car will be driven by Marc Blazquez, World TT Champion, and Salvador Belzunces.
