Lamborghini and Zagato revealed the 5-95 one-off supercar at the 2014 Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este. The Lamborghini 5-95 Zagato is meant to be a contemporary collectible car. The new Lamborghini Zagato is based on the Gallardo LP570-4, which is the best-selling model of the Italian supercar manufacturer. Even though the Lamborghini Zagato keeps the Gallardo's original proportions and underpinnings, its exterior reflects the Milanese school's design philosophy, which is oriented functionalism and rationalism. When developing the new Lamborghini Zagato, the only limits imposed were those concerning active and passive safety. The design of the Lamborghini 5-95 Zagato's front end is inspired by the Raptor.
The Raptor is one of Zagato's previous creations, which is also based on a Lamborghini.
The Lamborghini Zagato comes with continuous glass surfaces, a pillar-less body, reduced side intakes, a roof air scoop, and additional apertures concealed in the glass surfaces. There's also a bubble roof. The new Zagato Lamborghini comes with an active spoiler, a truncated tail that reveals the engine, and a wind deflector inserted at the base of the windscreen.
