Lamborghini revealed today the new Gallardo GT3 FL2, which is going to compete in the 2013 and 2014 seasons. The Lamborghini Gallardo GT3 FL2 has been developed in collaboration with Reiter Engineering, who brought several improvements to the old model. The Gallardo GT3 FL2 comes with "24-hour" brakes, improved engine cooling and reduced fuel consumption. The aerodynamics of the car have also been improved. The FL2 Gallardo GT3 comes with a new front splitter, and a new carbon fiber rear diffuser, which is based on the one of the Super Trofeo. The FL2 Lamborghini Gallardo GT3 is around 25 kg lighter than its predecessor too. Reiter also managed to reduce the running costs of the FL2 GT3 Gallardo to 9 EUR / km.

In 2013, the Lamborghini Gallardo GT3 FL2 is going to compete in events held in Europe and Asia. The carmaker hopes to enter the North American racing season in 2014. The Gallardo GT3 FL2 is going to race in the Blancpain Endurance Series, the Asia Le Mans Series and the Italian GT3 Championship.

The Lamborghini Gallardo GT3 FL2's price is set at €320,000 euro plus taxes. It will start to be delivered in March 2013.
