Lamborghini Huracan Trademark Registered

 »  »  »

The trademark office is a good place to start a research on what are carmakers planning to launch next. Recently, Lamborghini registered the Huracan trademark in April this year. This doesn't necessarily mean that Lambo's next supercar will be called the Huracan. However, there's a strong possibility that it will. Apparently, Huracan means "hurricane" in Spanish. Yes, we know Lamborghini usually names its models after famous fighting bulls, but they did create a precedent with the Aventador. Now the question remains which of Lamborghini's future car will wear the Huracan name. The production version of the Urus SUV seems like a good choice. There are also various rumors that say the Gallardo name will be dropped for future versions. This means it could be replaced by "Huracan".

This is all speculation at the moment, since Lamborghini did not release an official statement regarding the Huracan trademark and they probably never will.

Huracan is not the only trademark registered by Lamborghini in the last few months. They also registered "Deimos", which is the name of a Greek deity.
