Lamborghini SUV (Urus) Officially Announced

 »  »  »

Lamborghini officially announced today their third model, a luxury SUV, is going to enter production in 2018. The new SUV is going to be based on the Lamborghini Urus concept, which was premiered back in April 2012. Lamborghini plans to build around 3,000 units of their new SUV per year. Even though Lambo did not disclose the name of the of their new production SVU, we believe it's going to keep the Urus name. The new Lamborghini SUV is going to be built on the same platform as the Porsche Cayenne. Early indications say that the new Lamborghini SUV is going to be powered by a 600 hp engine and, as with all Lambos, it's going to come with permanent all-wheel-drive. The Urus concept measures 4,990 mm in length, 1,660 mm in height and 1,990 in width.

We believe the production version of the SUV will have roughly the same dimensions.

So far, Lamborghini did not disclose a whole lot of details about their new production SUV. However, we can make a few assumptions. The new high-performance SUV will come with a carbon fiber body, an aggressive design, high-end materials and whatever new technology they're going to come up with until 2018. The new Lamborghini SUV's price tag will probably be higher than the 100,000 EUR mark. We'll have more details about the production version of the Lamborghini Urus as soon as they're available.
