Land Rover revealed today the Discovery Sport and released its full specifications, its price and its complete equipment list. The Land Rover Discovery Sport measures 4,589 mm in length, 2,173 mm in width, 1,724 mm in height and it has a 2,741mm long wheelbase. The Sport version of the Discovery comes with a 5+2 seating configuration. According to Land Rover's official specs, the Discovery Sport offers a 25-degree approach angle, a 31-degree departure angle, and a 21-degree ramp breakover angle. Land Rover is going to sell the Discovery Sport with just one engine. It's going to be the 2.2-liter SD4 Diesel that develops 190 PS (140 kW) at 3,500 rpm and 420 Nm (310 lb.ft.) of torque at 1,750 rpm. The engine is going to be mated to a 6-speed manual transmission or a 9-speed automatic gearbox.
Both versions of the Sport Discovery have a top speed of 117 mph (188 km/h), however, the manual needs 10.4 seconds to get from nought to 62 mph (100 km/h), while the automatic model needs just 8.9 seconds to do the same job.
The equipment list of the Land Rover Discovery Sport includes the Terrain Response system, which allows it to wade to 600mm. The Land Rover Discovery Sport's price list starts at £32,395 GBP OTR and it goes up to £37,595 GBP OTR. The automatic version of the Discovery Sport is going to cost you at least £34,195 GBP OTR.
