The journalists from Autocar reviewed the new Lexus CT 200h recently and released a video documenting their experience. They reviewed the Lexus CT 200h on public roads and tested whether or not it can really deliver the 68.9 mpg combined fuel consumption advertised by the manufacturer.
The Lexus CT 200h is a premium hybrid model, powered by a 1.8-liter 4 cylinders VVT-i engine good for 98 bhp at 5,200 rpm and 142 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm and an electric motor that delivers 79 bhp and 207 Nm of torque. If you add those figures, the CT 200h doesn't seem to be so underpowered as its competitors.
The CT 200h can deliver pretty decent performance
figures, for a hybrid. The official top speed is rated at 112 mph and Lexus says it can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 10.3 seconds.
Lexus prices the CT 200h on the USA market from 29,120 USD to 30,900 USD and in the UK from 23,485 GBP to 30,635 GBP.
