Toyota Motorsport GmbH (TMG) revealed today the special edition Lexus LS TMG Sports 650, which is going to have its world debut at the 2012 Essen Motor Show. The TMG Sports 650 is based on the Lexus LS 460, which has received some serious power and performance enhancements. The Lexus TMG Sports 650 is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 bi-turbocharged and intercooled engine that's good for 478kW (650PS) at 6,500rpm and 765Nm of torque at 5,460rpm. Its maximum engine speed is 7,450rpm. With 650 hp and a weight of 2,050kg, TMG's Lexus LS Sports 650 is able to accelerate from nought to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 3.9 seconds and to reach a top speed of 320 km/h. Its engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and a Torsen limited slip diff.

To be able to put all that power on the ground, TMG equipped their LS Sports 650 with a Multi-link suspension system with coil springs and Sachs dampers. The car is equipped with Brembo carbon ceramic brakes.

The Lexus LS TMG Sports 650 is currently just a concept, and Toyota did not announce any plans to put it into production.
