Lexus revealed today the new 2013 LS model range, which includes the LS 460 and LS 600h hybrid. Both versions of the 2013 Lexus LS come with an updated exterior and interior design, new technologies, more efficient engines and for the first time, an F Sport version. Lexus says they've made as much as 3,000 changes for the 2013 LS, including three world-firsts and 15 "Lexus-first" features. In terms of design, the most striking feature is the new spindle front grille. The headlights, rear lamps and fog lights of the new Lexus LS (2013) are available with LED technology too. For the interior of the 2013 LS, Lexus increased the amount of sound insulation. For further reducing the cabin noise, the 2013 LS is now fitted with hollow chamber noise reduction wheels.
Another premiere brought by the new LS (2013) includes the Climate Concierge system, which uses 13 sensors to adapt the temperature of the front and rear seat climate control and the steering wheel rim heater. The 2013 Lexus LS also comes with an Advanced Illumination System, the Remote Touch Interface and a 12.3-inch multimedia display.
In terms of safety, the new LS has it all. Lexus equips the new range with the Advanced Pre-Crash Safety system with collision avoidance assist, a Lane-Keep Assist system, and a Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) system.
To increase the comfort offered by the 2013 LS and to improve its handling, Lexus made a number of changes. The 2013 Lexus LS comes with an Adaptive Variable Suspension with a new four-wheel interlock control, which reduces roll, pitch and heave vibration. The four-door sedan comes with five driving modes: Eco, Comfort, Normal, Sport S and Sport S+.
The 2013 Lexus LS F Sport is equipped with a 10mm lowered ride height, 6-piston front calipers from Brembo, a Torsen limited slip differential and an intake sound generator.
