Lexus ES 350 and 300h

Lexus revealed the new ES 350 and the ES 300h hybrid at the 2012 New York International Auto Show. The 2013 version of the Lexus ES has a 1.8-inche longer wheelbase and comes with a completely new exterior design. A distinctive design feature of the Lexus ES is its rear bumper, which features dual exhaust pipes in the case of the ES350 and hidden tailpipes in the case of the ES300h. The interior of the 2013 Lexus ES offers increased passenger space, with 2.8 inches more room for the knees and 4.1 inches more room for the legs. The 2013 Lexus ES comes with manual door window shades, a power rear shade, a one-touch power trunk closer and ambient lighting. The materials used for the 2013 ES's interior include NuLuxe, and leather.

The Lexus ES 350 is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine with Dual VVT-i, which is mated to a six-speed automatic Electronically Controlled Transmission with intelligence (ECT-i). The hybrid version of the ES, the Lexus ES 300h, comes with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder Atkinson cycle engine which is able to offer a fuel economy of up to 40 mpg in the combined cycle. The ES 300h offers several driving modes, including Normal, Sport, Eco and EV.

The 2013 Lexus ES comes equipped with a second-generation Remote Touch Interface (RTI), the Enform system, and a Mark Levinson audio system, amongst others. Lexus offers the following safety systems for both the ES 350 and the ES 300h: Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), Lane Departure Alert (LDA), Pre-Collision System (PCS) and Whiplash Injury Lessening (WIL) front seats.

Pricing for the 2013 Lexus ES 350 and the ES 300h has not been announced yet.
