Lotus revealed today their latest racecar, which is based on the Evora. Called the Lotus Evora GX, the new racer complies with the Rolex Series' GT rules. The Evora GX comes with carbon-fiber doors, roof and engine cover, and Plexiglas windows. This helps reduce the weight of the car, which is already as heavy as a feather. Lotus says that the Evora GX weighs just 1,150kg, despite the fact that it has a pretty sturdy roll cage. The Lotus Evora GX features a racing aerodynamic package too. Its new body kit includes a new front splitter and bumper, a huge rear wing, and wider wheel arches. The Evora GX sits on wider wheels covered in Continental tires, and it comes without ABS and traction control.

The 4.0-liter engine of the Evora GX develops 440bhp and 440Nm of torque and it's mated to an XTRAC 6-speed sequential transmission with paddle-shifters. Lotus says they also equipped it with a new fuel filler system. If you're looking to race the new Evora GX, you'll have to know that it's priced at $335,000.00.
