MINI has announced that it will offer a MINI Cooper JCW factory tuning kit which will increase the power and performance of the standard car. The new JCW factory tuning kit will be available for the MINI Cooper S, MINI Cooper S Clubman and for the MINI Cooper S Convertible. The MINI Cooper JCW factory tuning kit raises the power output of the four-cylinder engine to 147 kW/200 hp at 5,700 rpm and 250 Nm (184 lb-ft) of torque between 1,250 and 5,000 rpm. With the overboost function, the MINI Cooper JCW Factory Tuning Kit sends 270 Nm (199 lb-ft) between 1,800 and 5,000 rpm to the front wheels.
The MINI Cooper JCW factory tuning kit includes a performance-optimized engine management, a new air filter system. both work together to get more
boost out of the twin-scroll turbo engine.
The MINI Cooper JCW factory tuning kit can make the Cooper S sprint from 0 to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 6.8 seconds and to accelerate up to a top speed of 234 km/h (145 mph).
The MINI Cooper JCW factory tuning kit also offers a sports silencer with chrome tailpipes, and 18-inch Cross Spoke Red Stripe light-alloy wheels.
The price list has not been announced yet.
