The first MINI Countryman WRC video has surfaced recently on the web, as the new rally car is undergoing various testing in Portugal. This is the second phase in the development of the MINI Countryman WRC, as it has already finished testing on tarmac at Prodrive's proving grounds in Warwickshire. Currently, BMW and their partners in crime, Prodrive, are putting the MINI Countryman WRC through its paces on gravel in preparation for the coming rallying season. Early rumors say the MINI Countryman WRC will be powered by a turbocharged 1.6-liter 4-cylinder engine, however, the exact power and torque output are still a mystery.
As seen in the video, the MINI Countryman WRC already has a new aerodynamics package.
However, what you see in these videos are not the final outfit in which the MINI Countryman WRC will try to win some points in the next rally championship. It's final body kit is still under development.
