Here's a Mazda RX9 update. According to the British press, the future Mazda RX9 will weigh around 1250kg and will output more than 300 hp. The engine of the future Mazda RX9 is currently called the 16X and will use an electric supercharger, not a turbo like it was previously speculated. The electric supercharger of the Mazda RX9 will be quite bigger than the one currently used in the RX8. We're not sure whether the future Mazda RX9 will have a turbo or a supercharger, however, it's almost certain that it will use a rotary engine like its predecessor, RX7.
The new engine of the Mazda RX9 will have to be Euro V compliant and will have to be efficient, with low CO2 emissions and fuel consumption.
In other words, the Mazda RX9 will not be able to get away only with lots of power.
The exterior styling of the Mazda RX9 will probably be influenced by the company's Nagare design language. However, the Mazda RX9 will probably be the last model to employ these lines.
