Daimler has released the first images of the new 2012 Mercedes C63 AMG facelift, in both sedan and estate body style, which is expected to go on sale this summer. The Mercedes C63 AMG facelift continues to be powered by the same 6.2-liter V8 engine that sends 457 hp and 600 Nm of torque to the rear wheels. The Mercedes C63 AMG facelift is equipped with the AMG speed-shift MCT 7-speed sports transmission. This gearbox, apart from offering fast shifting times, also helps reduce the fuel consumption of the Mercedes C63 AMG facelift, and consequently, the CO2 emissions level. The fuel consumption of the Mercedes C63 AMG facelift is rated at around 12 liters per 100 km/h for both the sedan and the estate.

The official performance numbers of the

Mercedes C63 AMG facelift say it can get from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds and up to an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph).

If these numbers do not satisfy you, the Mercedes C63 AMG facelift can also be equipped with a Performance Package, which ups the power output of the German super sedan to 481 hp. With the extra power, the new 2010 C63 AMG facelift needs only 4.4 seconds to reach the magic 100 km/h figure. the performance package also fits the Mercedes C63 AMG facelift with a new, lighter crankshaft,

revised pistons and connecting rods, a boot lid carbon fiber wing and a sports steering wheel.

Talking about looks, the Mercedes C63 AMG facelift has suffered quite a few modifications. The front of the Mercedes C63 AMG facelift shows a new bumper with integrated LED daytime running lights, a new front grille, and of course, re-styled headlights. The rear of the Mercedes C63 AMG facelift shows only minor changes. The hood of the 2012 C63 AMG is now made from aluminum.

At this point, Daimler did not release any images

of the interior of the Mercedes C63 AMG facelift.

The Mercedes C63 AMG facelift price list and its exact 'on sale' date will be announced at a later time.
