Daimler announced today it's line-up for the 2008 LA Auto Show. If you live in the U.S., Los Angeles is probably the first chance to see the Mercedes SL65 AMG Black Series in person, as it makes its North American auto show debut. The Mercedes SL65 AMG Black Series will be joined on the display by the Mercedes Concept FASCINATION and the 2010 Mercedes GLK350 4MATIC.

The Mercedes SL65 AMG Black Series is powered by a 6.0-liter V12 engine that outputs 661 hp and 738 lb-ft of torque, which is enough to take it from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.8 seconds.

The Mercedes Concept FASCINATION design study is also making it's USA debut at the Los Angeles show.

Mercedes Press Release:

Mercedes-Benz will exhibit several new models highlighting the wide range of the luxury brand’s product portfolio. Offering a glimpse at the future of Mercedes-Benz coupes and sedans will be the Concept FASCINATION design study. Addressing the need for smaller, even more fuel efficient vehicles, the 2010 GLK350 4MATIC makes it’s Los Angeles debut just prior to going on-sale in January. Finally, emphasizing the high-performance dimension of the brand, the new 661 hp SL65 AMG Black Series

coupe makes it’s North American auto show debut. All three models will be on display throughout the L.A. Auto Show, open to the public November 19-30, 2008.

Concept FASCINATION

Mercedes-Benz builds the world’s most desirable coupes – a claim which the Stuttgart-based car maker emphasizes with its Concept FASCINATION design study. Making it’s North American debut at the 2008 Los Angeles Auto Show, this unique design concept combines both sporty and elegant design with stylish practicality.

Highlights include an economical 4-cylinder BlueTEC diesel engine, folding glass table integrated into the rear cargo area and custom storage compartments for a digital camera and binoculars. The ConceptFASCINATION’s flowing lines and strong, dual headlamp face hint at the future design direction of Mercedes-Benz coupes and sedans.

Just the right size: The 2010 GLK350 4MATIC

The all-new mid-size GLK350 4MATIC sport utility vehicle will appear in showrooms in January 2009. The five-passenger GLK-Class represents the newest member of a highly successful Mercedes-Benz SUV family that includes the full-size M-Class, the larger GL-Class, the crossover R-Class and the rough-and-tough G-Class. With a 268 hp 3.0-liter engine, the V6-powered GLK350 will be available with a choice of 4MATIC all-wheel-drive or rear-wheel-drive.

SL65 AMG Black Series Coupe

Based on a highly modified and lightened version of the company’s revered SL roadster, the new 6.0-liter V12-powered SL65 AMG Black Series coupe features a carbon-fiber fixed roof, front

fenders, hood, trunk lid and front and rear aprons. With all these super-strong, lightweight parts, plus the absence of retractable roof hardware, the car weighs 210 pounds less than the standard SL and generates 738 lb-ft of torque. The new supercar from Mercedes-Benz, on-sale in January 2009, accelerates from 0-60 in an astonishing 3.8 seconds.
