To celebrate their continuing relationship with Magneti Marelli, Mopar unveiled today their new rally car based on the Dodge Avenger. Mopar's Avenger rally car comes with a very long list of upgrades and it's powered by a new Dodge Pentastar 3.6-liter V-6 engine developing 300 bhp. To get the extra power out of the engine of the Avenger rally racer, Mopar installed a new exhaust system, a cold-air intake and a high-performance ECU with TC, DBW, and VVT developed in collaboration with Magneti Marelli.

Mopar's new Dodge Avenger racer features other rallying essentials, such as a purpose-built center stack and console with a compact high-performance 1 GB data logger, an integrated GPS and inertial platform with real-time calculation of pitch and roll angles.

The new Avenger rally car receives a 1.5 inch lowered suspension, 18-inch alloy racing wheels, and a new aerodynamics package.
