In the latest episode of Fifth Gear they put the hot French coupe of the moment, the Peugeot RCZ, against its German rival, the Volkswagen Scirocco. For this video, and to match the performance figures of the Peugeot RCZ, they chose the entry level Volkswagen Scirocco powered by the 1.4-liter petrol engine. The Peugeot RCZ is powered by a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine and is priced at around 22,000 GBP. The Volkswagen Scirocco however, is 1,000 GBP less expensive than the its French competitor. Both, the Peugeot RCZ and the Volkswagen Scirocco have the same performance figure. The 0 to 100 km/h acceleration time is 8 seconds and both have a top speed of 135 mph.
