PortAventura, the famous amusement park and resort near Barcelona, Spain, is going to get its very own Ferrari theme park. Called Ferrari Land, the Prancing Horse's new theme park is going to cover 75,000 square meters. One of the main attractions of Ferrari Land is going to be Europe's highest and fastest vertical accelerator. Ferrari also plans to build a 5-star hotel inside PortAventura with 250 rooms, restaurants and a most importantly, a driving simulator. Ferrari plans to invest 100 million euros in their new "Land", which will open its gates sometime in 2016. PortAventura is considered the top Mediterranean amusement park, and the second one in Europe. Ferrari already has such an amusement park in Abu Dhabi, which is extremely successful.
The Prancing Horse says it has received many, many requests to develop new ones.
If you're going to visit PortAventura before "Ferrari Land" opens, try Dragon Kahn. It's one of the most extreme rollercoasters ever.
