You probably may not know that they are planning to build a bridge between Hong Kong and China. Until a few years back, Hong Kong paid homage to the British queen, which means they were driving on the left side of the road with RHD (right-hand-drive) vehicles. However, after the province was put under China's jurisdiction, the traffic rules in Honk Kong kept the driving manner. On the other side of the pond, China is using the right side of the road for driving in LHD (left-hand-drive) cars. Now you can begin to see the problem faced by the engineers who have to build the bridge.

Fortunately for them, a Dutch team of architects, calling themselves the NL Architects, came up with a solution. The bridge in the video after

the jump loops in such a manner that it switches the sides of the road the people travel on. Their bridge is called the Pearl River Necklace and might just become a reality. The design was entered in a competition that will decide the final design for the bridge between Hon Kong and China.
