The collaboration between Volkswagen and the Stanford University for the development of robotic, driverless cars is already shown results. The latest announcement is that students from Stanford are planning to race a robotic Audi TTS at the Pikes Peak Hill Climb. The robotic Audi TTS will climb Pikes Peak alongside real race drivers at the wheel of performance vehicles.

The robotic Audi TTS has already been tested on the Bonneville Salt Flats and apparently the result have been very encouraging. some reports also say they took the robotic Audi TTS to the Pikes Peak Hill Climb location for testing.
