Rolls Royce Phantom Series II

All four versions of the new Rolls Royce Phantom Series II model range have been revealed today in Geneva. The Series II of the Phantom range includes the regular version, the Coupe, the convertible Drophead Coupe and the Extended Wheelbase version. Most of the changes brought by the facelifted Phantom are visual. Rolls Royce made only subtle technical changes to improve the Phantom's efficiency. Thanks to a newly developed 8-speed automatic transmission and rear differential, the Phantom facelift is now 10% more fuel efficient. Its CO2 emissions have dropped from 388 g/km to 347 g/km.

In terms of exterior design, the Phantom Series II comes with a re-styled front fascia, featuring a new bumper and LED headlights as standard.

Rolls Royce is introducing curve light functionality to these new headlamps. This new system uses electronically-controlled reflectors to focus headlamp beams in the direction of travel, which offers better visibility during cornering.

With Series II, Rolls Royce is bringing the Phantom to the present by introducing a new multimedia interface with a re-designed controller. The Phantom Series II also comes with a 3D navigation system, an 8.8-inch central display, and various cameras (front, rear and top-view) which are meant to make the car easier to maneuver.

The Rolls Royce Phantom Series II model range continues to be powered by the V12 engine, which develops 453 bhp and 720 Nm of torque. Depending on the version, the Phantom Series II needs between 5.6 and 5.7 seconds for the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) trip and is limited to a 240 km/h / 149 mph top speed.

Rolls Royce will announce the price list for the Phantom Series II model range at a later date. Meanwhile, you can review all the specifications of the updated Phantom here.
