Scuderia Bizzarrini P538

The Scuderia Bizzarrini P538, which will have its first public viewing at the Nardo Ring in November 2008, is designed by Stefan Schulze. Does this name ring a bell? He's also the designer of the Panthera Concept and the Tribun Concept from a while back. Although the Panthera Concept and the Tribun Concept will probably never reach the production line, the Scuderia Bizzarrini P538 will be built in a limited number.

The Scuderia Bizzarrini P538 is a tribute to Mr. Bizzarrini and the cars he built in the mid 60's for racing at Le Mans. Mr. Giotto Bizzarrini's original Roadsters were powered by Lamborghini V12 and GM 7.0 liter V8 engines. The new Scuderia Bizzarrini P538 is powered by a GM LS7 V8 engine that will develop more than 500 hp standard with

an option to take the power up to 1000 hp. These numbers are even more amazing when you take into account the fact that the Scuderia Bizzarrini P538 only weighs 800 kg.

The Scuderia Bizzarrini P538 is based on the Galmer Arbitrage GT chassis with a new Roadster body that is influenced by the design of the original 1966 P538.

The Scuderia Bizzarrini P538 will also be available with a carbon fiber removable hard top.
