Automotive Distributors Press Release:

Automotive Distributors Ltd (the company behind the Blue Print brand) who are organising this year’s Blue Print Rally will be fundraising primarily for BEN, the Automotive Industry

Charity, and will be setting off this Saturday, 17 May 2008 from their Kent headquarters.

The rally consists of 24 teams who are customers of Blue Print and are all signed up and raring to go. The 24 teams have had to purchase either a Japanese or Korean vehicle for less than £500, which they then have to drive from ADL’s UK headquarters in Marden, Kent, across Europe to their Portugese offices just outside Lisbon.

The 2000 mile journey will take the 24 teams through France, over the Millau Viaduct and down into Spain. The route then continues along the eastern and southern coasts of Spain, into Portugal before finally arriving at ADL offices just outside of Lisbon, taking 7 days.

Each team has to raise a minimum of £100 for BEN in order to take part, and it is hoped that at least £5000 will be raised in total.

Charles Davis, Director of Fundraising & Communications, at BEN commented “This type of event takes a great deal of organisation and

I would like to thank ADL for managing this event and for nominating BEN as the main beneficiary. We wish everyone involved a safe and successful rally.”
